'My point is that maybe, just maybe, that in trying to accomplish things in the international arena, it might just help to have other nations/peoples to have some faith in our institutions and leaders. We might find a bit better cooperation and help. We have a lot to repair after the last several years - and the world was largely willing to rally to "our side" after 9/11. This administration blew the hell out of that. But if you believe that we should just continue to operate as a bull in the china shop without any regard to what others think, often in violation of international norms we helped create, then you are certainly entitled to that opinion. IF it's truly a global economy with global political/environmental/security/whatever issues, then maybe just going along with the typical American arrogance about the rest of the world is not the way to go. '

Obviously you are another self-righteous asshole like the ones you condemn.
At no point did I say that I supported the current administration which is the crux of your entire, misguided diatribe. But, go ahead and judge, you have placed words on my keyboard, have fun.

Well, here's a bit of fun - why don't you go fuck yourself and then play alone at your own site? How's that for the spirit of unity?

In point of fact, I was not trying to "judge" you - I was merely saying don't speak for me because I do indeed care what other nations and individuals think about the US. You posted here in response to someone because since they were from the UK that somehow their opinion lacks any merit. I think that is complete and utter bullshit. However, in point of fact, I didn't equate your statement with your support (or lack thereof) for the current administration. I made no assumption about your political allegiance. I was stating that the perception others have of the US impact our ability as a nation (and as individuals) to work, travel, conduct business, foreign policy, etc.

One thing I'm sure we can agree on is that there is certainly no uniform Deadhead approach to these issues.
